In support of the Reno Rodeo foundation's commitment to improving the quality of life for children and teens who have survived abuse and neglect, BJ's BBQ will be enhancing the 2009 Reno Rodeo "Behind the Chutes" tour and pancake breakfast experience, which is offered exclusively to young people in protective custody and foster care, by offering these kids the opportunity to attend an evening performance of the Reno Rodeo.
Follow Up:
June 23, 2009 will be a date that one hundred and fifty foster children in the Reno area will remember forever. BJ's provided free tickets to the Reno Rodeo and free barbecue sandwiches for the children. The foster children and their foster gaurdians have only been able to attend the rodeo once before in all of the Reno Rodeo Foundation's history. According to the Department of Social Services, the children "were ecstatic." Well, BJ's is ecstatic too. We are thrilled with the outcome and are very honored to have been a part of this wonderful event. Check out the letter that the Department of Social Services sent BJ's!.
